Children's Ski Lessons
We can't quite remember who it was that said, "Give me the child and I'll show you the man," but we do think the same applies to skiing.
Children who learn to ski at a young age nearly always go on to be better skiers than those who learn later in life. They don't have much fear, they see learning as play and they just get on with it. Before you know it they'll be skiing all over the mountain yelling, "Hurry up, Mummy!"
Val d'Isère is a fantastic place for children to learn. The beginner areas are excellent, we have a great dedicated children's areas and some instructors who are absolutely brilliant with kids.
Group lessons are great fun for children and most ski schools run several children's groups from beginner level upwards during the school holidays (fewer outside the holiday periods, but there's usually still a choice).
They also try to keep children of a similar age in the same group, which makes the whole experience much more enjoyable.
We'd strongly recommend booking well in advance whenever you're coming, but if you're visiting at Christmas, New Year, February half-term or Easter you absolutely must.
If you wait until you arrive there will be nothing left.
Morning lessons are always more popular (and usually slightly more expensive) than afternoons, so they tend to sell out first.
Evolution 2 are excellent for children's group lessons, as are Progression. If you and your friends have several children of a similar age and ability between you, it's well worth considering a private instructor instead.

They're often fully booked well in advance but, if you can get a half day with Claire Angus,, Tori Collins or Elaine Bunyan, more highly — if you can get them.
